About This Game

Spinning Globe is a geography game played on a real globe of the Earth. Every round starts with the planet spinning fast in space; the moment you hit STOP it slows down and comes to rest on a randomly chosen country. The camera flies in, the country lights up in gold and a map pin drops on it. One question follows: where is this? Pick the right name from four options. The options are never random — the other three countries always come from the same region, so when Slovakia comes up you are offered Hungary, Czechia and Austria. Memorising names is not enough; you have to actually know the map. Borders are drawn from real map data, so over 170 countries appear with their true shape in their true place. Answer before the timer runs out for a speed bonus, and chain correct answers for a streak bonus. After 12 rounds you get the list of every country you missed, so each run teaches you a little more. You can drag the globe with your finger to look at the neighbours and hunt for the clue yourself. The first rounds start with familiar places like France, Japan and Brazil; later ones bring Slovenia, Paraguay and Mongolia. The game runs fully offline, plays the same on phone and desktop, and supports both dark and light themes.
